I want to help someone today. This is for those who have felt the need to justify themselves to folks who have tried to pass judgment on them because of who they are in the Lord. I have heard so many times of folks saying, “He is supposed to be a preacher..” or “They are supposed to be Christians.” You know how when others are jacked up, they try to marginalize you… Well I was reading Job and I got out of the text that we don’t need to prove ourselves to anyone. We need to stop worrying about what others think or have to say. To be honest you wouldn’t have to worry about what folks truly thought about you if you really knew actually how rarely they thought of you.. God is omniscient.. Not us.. Yes, it is HIS Holy Spirit which gives us the occasional ability to share nuggets of wisdom and encouragement. I often tell my kids that if God were to remove HIS hand for us for an instant, we’d be nothing in an instant. I am not going to lie and say that I’ve mastered the Bible like some would say. I won’t say that I know it all. As a matter of fact the more that I get to know God, the more that I realize that I know so little. Stop trying to prove yourself to folks.. Stay bowed down in the presence of the all wise God and know that right in that place you have nothing to prove but so very much to gain.. I really hope that this nugget ministers to someone.. I go to it often.. Every time someone tries to size me or my family up, my natural instinct is to want to come out swinging but I don’t have to.. I kneel before HIM and while kneeling I am victorious. Feast on this scripture:
