Stop This Crazy Thing!

I want to motivate someone to get off of the treadmill of life that they have been on and be willing to hit the road. Have you ever seen any of those movies where a person will experience something in life one day, go to sleep and find themselves reliving the same day over and over again? All while trying to reach a different result in the end? No matter how hard they try, they do so much of the same stuff over again and the result never gets to where they had hoped. I keep hearing George Jetson yelling “Jane, stop this crazy thing!” Listen, so many of us want a change in our lives but we continue to do the same stuff every day, deal with the same toxic people, be involved in the same toxic relationships but we want to stop this crazy thing… Crazy, isn’t it? We can’t keep doing the same things, day in and out and expect different results. You say that you want to live a life pleasing to God but the hellish lifestyle that you lead feels too good to your flesh. You poison your body with chemicals for a quick high or buzz and wonder why you are constantly physically breaking down. You struggle to see heavenly things happening in your life because you are more caught up in worldly entertainment. Some of you have the nerve to think that God endorses your ways and actions.. You have been deceived and because you refuse to change or accept change, don’t expect new results. At the end of the day, if you choose to be like everyone else in the world, you will receive exactly what they get in the end. For the few who choose to strive to be different.. Living a holy lifestyle is different nowadays.. It isn’t the norm.. If you choose to truly be different, you can expect something other than ordinary results. We all have areas in our lives that need change.. So many refuse to grow because change requires more from us. More of a commitment. Some of us wish we had better attitudes but refuse to work on changing them. Instead you stay on the treadmill.. Going nowhere. You want a better relationship but you are attracted to the same old guy/girl who ripped your heart up or led you astray. We would rather address the faults of others but try not to identify our own faults and make better choices.. We work to please God in some ways and in other ways refuse to make steps towards change to truly bring Him pleasure. So in the words of Mr. Jetson… let’s Stop this crazy thing!!!

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.
