Not Today Satan!

Matt 16: 23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."

This is for the one who keep entertaining the things of the world. Those who have purpose but continue to be behind the power curve or simply spinning your wheels. The word tells us that we are not ignorant of Satan and his devices but we sure keep actin ignorant. Here we have Jesus who clearly explains his mission and the days to come and Peter makes it about him. Trying to be more than he is. Jesus could have easily entertained the conversation but he cut it off with a quickness and called a spade a spade. Some of us entertain the world way too much. We entertain godless people way too much. We are attracted to sinful deeds way too much. Jesus had a knack for shutting the enemy down. How did he do it. He spoke the Word. Even in his weakest moments He used his Fathers Words. When tempted in the wilderness he handled Satan with a series of "it is written" statements. Even when Satan tried the “you are supposed to be statement. Ya'll know how folks who are jacked up like to throw the "You're supposed to be a Christian or Supposed to be a Minister." line at you.. All because they don't have the guts to strive for holiness. Stop entertaining the "you are supposed to be" when you supposedly already know who you are. That’s another trick of the enemy. That is misery trying to get you to join it’s company….We need to stop dancing with the devil. Dabbling in sin and we see him moving, call a spade a spade. Don’t act like the world when you’ve overcome the world. James 4:7 says that if we resist the Devil, He will flee from you.. Let your statement to ignorance, to sin, to evil, to foolishness be… Simply today… Not Today Satan
