The Cycle

I think of my walk with Christ and I must go back to the many good folks who poured generously into me. There were my parents, grandparents, great grandparents.. Then there was a group who loved me for no reason at all. Elder Doss, Elder Joiner, Pastor White, Rev. Carpenter, Pastor Robinson, Rev. Thomas, Apostle Neal and the list goes on. I was told by a good friend in ministry that we are to be distribution centers. I then looked at David’s words when he said that My cup runneth over.. Yes, my over flow is to be shared with those who need filling. People wonder why I am the way that I am when it comes to sharing Christ and trying to encourage. Why I am on such a mission to create disciples for Christ (notice, I didn’t say Christians.. Disciples are devoted followers)? It is my responsibility! We are all responsible for creating a cycle of discipleship. It’s like the old commercial. Two friends told me, and I told two friends, and they told two friends, and so on, and so on… I look back at my spiritual tree and marvel at the many who have selflessly poured into me. I look to see who I have poured into. Who are they pouring into.. This is how we are to change this wicked world. The process is intentional, relational, wise and critical. To whom much is given, much is expected. Jesus did it with the apostles.. The commission says to Go and make disciples… Entrust this with reliable men/women who will continue the cycle. If your block is still jacked up, you have more work to do. We can’t impact the world if we are afraid to impact the block, the school, the city, the state, our family and friends. Find a good soldier today. They don’ t have to be perfect in your eyes. Just share Christ and entrust them to share Christ. Are you continuing the cycle?

Chew on this: 2 Timothy 2:2 2

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
