Believe

Bless you! Today is an exciting day for me and my family. Our daughter is
going to compete in her first State basketball tournament in a few hours.
They are facing the top seed in the tournament. I have been thinking about
it seems forever. Our girls haven't won a title in 23 years. None of the
outsiders even give them a shot. We will see. I BELIEVE... I was studying
out of Joshua 5 and 6 this morning. A familiar text in which I have preached
a few sermons. At the end of chapter 5, Joshua had a meeting with the
captain of the army of the Lord. He was about to receive his instructions on
how to conquer a mighty fortress by the name of Jericho. All of his
instructions were not typical. The whole thing was unorthodoxed. Now, if
you continue to follow Joshua and his future battles, you will see how he
used great military tactics and schemes, but not in the first battle. The
first battle was won strictly by faith and obedience. This set the
precedence for Him to always be attentive to God's instructions and trust
and believe in HIS leadership. He would not depend on his own strength and
human skills. He would wait for God to always add "SUPER" to his "NATURAL"
being (Thus giving them supernatural abilities). By doing so, Joshua and his
people won some historic battles. Someone today is facing what seems to be a
tough opponent. Some may say that you cannot win.. Trust and believe in the
God who placed you where you are. I have this feeling that you are about to
begin on a quest of a string of historic victories.. Regardless of how it
feels or looks.. BELIEVE!

Go on and read Joshua Chapters 5 and 6..

Bless you.. Kai'
