Choices

Today’s nugget is about making choices. My son and I have been talking a lot lately about making the right choices. What he is learning is it is not always so easy making the right choices. So many times choices are influenced by emotion.. Most of the time when we allow our emotions to guide our choices, regret is soon to follow. Someone reading this today is being faced with making a choice or certain choices. You have tried to avoid making them or have considered taking the “easy” way out, even though the “easy way” is the wrong way. Even when caught up in sin, we find out that though it is killing us, so many times, it FEELS SO GOOD! I am amazed at how many of us become slaves and develop the slave mentality. You accept where you are. Even try to make it appear as if you are in the right place… That there isn’t anything out there better for you… SLAVES… You refuse to do what is right so you continue to think wrong.. Eventually God’s version of wrong is right to you… You’ll even go as far as to attempt to twist the WORD to fit your circumstance.. You allow self righteous people to push you even further away… You are weakened.. You question or doubt that you are strong enough to make that right decision. Well let me shed some light on this for us.. You notice that I said us? Yep! The lord stands by to help us in our decision making. We just often leave HIM out. That’s why we jack things up so often. God wants what is best for us. Always has our best interest in mind. Look at the choice or choices that you need to make at this moment.. Before you move, invite the Lord to lead you and grasp unto HIM… Close your eyes as to say,” I trust you this much.. Where you lead, I will follow.. No matter how uncomfortable the journey may initially seem.” I like the way David put it in Psalms 37 verse 5.

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass”.. In another interpretation it says, Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
