This is a nugget that I have written previously. Just seems so fitting due
to the volume of calls, emails, and text messages that I have been getting
from folks that I know, who have been going thru harsh times. I hope this
feeds you today.
I want to encourage someone who seems to be in a season of constant storm or
cold. We all know that to everything there is a season. The thing that you
must do is not let your season kill you. I read a book entitled "Don't Die
In Winter". It was based off of Galatians 6:9. I have been getting a lot of
prayer requests from believers who are in what seems to be their winter. I
want to encourage you all to keep living the life of a Saint. We must be
mindful to prepare for all seasons. A farmer normally goes through the
seasons of planting and then harvest time. The food that is harvested keeps
the family fed throughout the barren seasons. He may not always have a
bountiful harvest, so he carefully plans how to ration the harvest that was
reaped. For those who are in the winter season of your life, keep chewing on
the Word of God. It will sustain you.. Stand on HIS promises.. You can make
it. It may not feel good but will work for good. If your winter season
hasn't arrived, plan on being prepared so when it arrives, you will survive.
Only those who don't prepare for the winter, die. Keep on loving folks..
Even when they are cold and nasty to you. Know that your character is being
built and fortified in every tear that you've shed because of someone doing
you wrong. The tears will aid in the growing process. All of the good that
you have sown in your life will be watered by those tears and will
eventually be enormous blessings. Just don't let the season kill you!
