Hey Family, I was reading Joshua 4 today and it told of the events of how God set up for Joshua to lead his people across the Jordan River. They crossed on dry ground. The Lord told Joshua to have representatives from the 12 tribes to collect a stone from the middle of the riverbed and set them up beyond the western shore of Gilgal, in order to serve as a reminder of the occurrences that day. They also stacked 12 stones in the riverbed before the river rose again. God did two things here. He established Joshua as leader and once again demonstrated to the people that HE was their ALMIGHTY GOD. Someone reading this has come upon an obstacle in life or a challenge. As God is making a way, gather a stone (grab a memory, a trinket, something to remind you of that moment) in order to remind yourself of how GOD delivered you and also how HE has established you as the “Real Deal” in HIM. Don’t waiver in your faith and don’t fret. If you trust and obey, HE WILL DO IT.. Go on… Pick up a stone… Read Joshua 4 and let it encourage you as you face your test.
