Dropping a quick nugget because this thing just ministered to me in an awesome way.. Have you ever had one of those weeks in which you were like “now what?” ”What else is going to hit me?”. I can recall several times in my life where I would look at such times and want to challenge God to prove HIMSELF to me. I know some of you have said before, “Lord send me a sign..” Seems as if we are always trying to put God to the test when we are not willing to face a test. That thing just hit me again as I am typing this.. I gotta get back to work.. LOL.. Look.. The only sign that we need is the WORD of God… I faced the revelation today that it is better for us to prove ourselves to God than to demand that HE keep proving HIMSELF to us. We are the ones who are being tested, not HIM. I can find several times when I fail HIM but HIS record of dependability in my life is perfect. I was having a conversation with my 16 year old about a certain test in life that she has pretty much kept failing. The solution and answers are clearly before her but she kept rebelling against the situation. I told her that until she just did what was right and passed the test, that she’d keep seeing different versions of the same test. She finally admitted that she was tired of failing the same test this weekend. We will see when it arises in her life again and it will come upon her again. I know there are some nosy folks trying to figure out just what I am talking about but this test is a simple lesson in life. When she gets it, she will be 1000 times better when complications arise. The specifics are none of your business… LOL… If you have failed a test lately… Stop looking for God to bail you out. Stop trying to cheat and just retake and pass the test.. Somebody ought to pray this with me.. Lord, no more excuses. I want you to be able to trust me with all that you have blessed me with. I now choose to do this thing the right way and face life’s challenges like a REAL MAN/WOMAN… This is my test to pass.. Not yours…. This nugget came to me as I hastily read Deuteronomy 8:6.. God has a way of getting our attention, in a hurry.
Deut 8:6-10
6. Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
7. For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills;
8. a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey;
9. a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper.
10. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you In other words
.. Just do what God says do. He will bless. Don’t run away from your tests.. just pass them.. He will blow your mind with how faithful HE is..
