Pushed into the right direction

I want to touch on the subject of obedience. There have been so many times in my life in where God wanted me to go in a certain direction but because that direction wasn't appealing or was against my will, I refused to go. I didn't consider that fact of the glory that God would have been getting if I had only just done what HE said to do. All I could see was my discomfort or the unworthiness of the folks that HE was directing me to. Then God found a way to push me in the direction that HE wanted me to go. If I had only listened the first time, I would have avoided so much pain and darkness. I revisited Jonah today, and I saw myself in his situation time and time again. So many times it took me to be moved to a dark place or a painful place in order for me to look towards heaven and say, "Lord, I want what you have for me. I get it.. Your will is so much better than my will. PLEASE, have mercy.." Then I ended up going where HE want me to go and though the road may have been uncomfortable, evidence of God being there was definitely visible. It's funny, when I answered the call, a part of the covenant that I made was I would go wherever HE sent me.. I have tried to back out of that covenant time and time again because of how I saw things.. Then once I became obedient and went wherever HE sent me, I saw that HE not only showed up for me, but HE beat me to the location and prepared the place for me to work with the power of the Holy Spirit.. IF you are in the belly of the whale right now because of disobedience, don't die.. God has a way of using that place to get your attention and your obedience.. Just submit right now and go and do the wonderful things that HE had planned for you to do and just enjoy watching HIM do GREAT things through you.

Here is how Jonah handled it.. Once he came to his senses, he said: For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me...Then I said, I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple. Jonah 2:3-4 (NKJV)

Father God, I just want to say Thank you for all of the times you just pushed me into the right direction. Thank you for the folks that you used to push me and those who thought that they were hurting me but their efforts pushed me into a place where I succeeded and you were glorified. I pray that whoever is reading this, that they move as you direct them. I also pray that for their sakes, if they resist or rebel, that you push them towards their real joy, their real peace and successes that you have planned in their lives. Push them in the direction of their ministries. Allow them to see your thumbprint on their lives so that they won’t be so rebellious in the future when it comes to you and your will in their lives… BE GLORIFIED.. HAVE YOUR WAY
