Wow… I got into my WORD this morning and was blown away at what was revealed. I just had to share this on today. We always seem to be wanting to receive some great thing from God. Some desire status, fortune, or fame. Some seek titles from academia, politics, and social groups. ” I wanna be called doctor, The President, City Councilman, Pastor, a Delta, a Kappa, Step with the Que’s ect.. That is what I want.. That would be a milestone in my life..” I look at the one who wins the lottery. So many times they have the initial joy of the money and eventually if the money doesn’t go away, the joy that they felt does. We have some who ask to be preachers but don’t understand the pain and struggle that comes along with it at times. Some pray for a mate and don’t realize the work it takes to make it work. All of these things we seek for ourselves…. I have come to see that the one thing that we truly should desire is to know God. So many say that they are seeking HIM but it is for what they think that they can get for themselves. We have to be willing to totally give up ourselves to HIM for whatever HE decides to do with and for us. Let’s desire the right relationship with HIM. See if we desire to know HIM we won’t have to worry about him knowing what we are in need of. There is a scripture that says that “Your father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask HIM.” Ask yourself, what is it that you want from God and why do you want it? Is it for selfish reasons. God is more concerned with the final result in you over the quick fix. If you are seeking greatness, let it be for the glory of GOD. Get to know HIM for the sake of having a true relationship with him. That is what we really should desire. Read this:
