YOU AINT SO SMART!

Hey Family,

I want to speak to the intellect of the believer today. I have learned that we can’t think as the world thinks. God’s ways of doing things are so opposite. I am evidence of that. I would have never chosen me to preach and teach the gospel as I look at my knack of fouling things up. Some of you who haven’t fallen into the “I am so holy” mode or “I’ve been in church and saved all of my life.” Mindset would agree with me if you’d dare to take a good look at yourselves. Anyway, this is the thinking of the world: Go to this self empowerment class, strive for personal improvement, work on your inner strength. It is all about “YOU”… Well in our walk we die to self in order to live in Christ, lose to find, and surrender in order to be strong. Jesus conquered death and the grave and we stand on that knowing that we shall never face any foe greater. We learn that we have to stop trying to control the outcome of every situation that we face and stop requiring God to resolve our problems in the ways that we see fit. When we do that we get to see just how awesome God is. We find HIM to be a deliverer, a savior, a trouble settler, a healer, and a way maker. If we controlled the outcome, He’d never get any glory out of our lives. Someone reading this, needs to pray, “Father, Your will be done, in my life.” This will allow your ideas of how things should be to be removed and God’s ideas on how they should be to take control. You struggle to follow the Lord because you refuse to trust that HE knows best. Well let me tell you this…. YOU AINT SO SMART! Living a life of faith will allow you to trust God more without being able to see what is about to come upon you in life. The process of growing in Christ takes trust and backward thinking when compared to the world’s standards.

Hopefully this familiar scripture will open some cloudy eyes and minds today:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 55:8
