You Are More Than That

Time to get a Word on another mindset that so many carry. Talking about the one who is having a hard time letting go of a momentary setback. You may have seen it as a failed attempt, missed moment. Folks around you may be quick to point it out to you over and over again. I have been there so many times and the funny thing is the folks who said that they cared about me most were the ones who seemed to like to remind me of those moments. If you are finding yourself there and are beginning to fall for the lie that you are a failure, let me help you out. You say that you are in Christ and that you are a believer.. Let this word check you and encourage you. Before I share it, I’ll go here. I have made many bad moves, done some things that I wish I hadn’t done. Missed out on some things that I probably feel that I should have had. The funny thing is God has always had a way of showing me that HE can and will turn things around in my favor. I can recall several times going out to minister in song and not doing as well as I felt I should have or could have. I may have gone in not prayed up or focused on ministering. Then all of the sudden I’d hear of someone who’s life was changed in that evening. Someone who was considering suicide and they found hope in the message. Prior to me finding this out, those around me might have said something like, “you didn’t do your normal great job or you went in with the wrong attitude.” I would even be reminded of how many times my voice cracked. My intentions were always to glorify God and HE knows that I love ministering. I just couldn’t seem to get over the hump. BUT GOD… He’d take my little bit, work with it and still get some Glory out of it. Through Him I still found myself being blessed. The phone would be ringing with folks wanting me to come minister. Not just all over the US but overseas. Look, this is what I want to share to the believer. Stop looking at what appears to be failure. Here is why… The Word says that we are more than conquerors in ALL things through Christ. (Romans 8:37) The disappointments of a believer becomes a place for HIS APPOINTMENTS… So when folks try to bury you in moment in which you don’t appear to shine, know that God will use a moment like that to exalt you for HIS glory. That’s the beauty of being HIS vessel. You are more than what man sees in you. Failure is not an option.
