I was sharing this message with and read yet another familiar scripture. Matthew 6: 33 and for those who don’t have their Bibles out, it say: Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (NIV) I looked at the word “Seek” It means to relentlessly pursue.. Go all out in order to get. In this case it means to go all out to allow Jesus to be Lord over your life and the righteousness that is needed for you to live a life that pleases God. If you do that God will give you access to HIS Kingdom and righteousness and while doing so will bless you with all that you need in this life. In this life until we truly submit to HIM, we live with an itch.. It is an internal itch. One that we are constantly trying to find source to ease it. Some have tried money.. Others sex, and power. Some thought that fame would do it.. Didn’t work. The things that most of us have pursued in this life, once achieved or attained, became boring and didn’t quite cure the itch. It may have given a temporary relief but after the initial “high” the trip down placed us in a far worse place. They’ve left us feeling empty and bound. Saying that, I want you to take a good look at you. Does that internal itch still exist? Is there something in you that won’t allow you to be truly satisfied. Are you yet feeling like you and your life is in lack? What have you been seeking. What have you been in hot pursuit of? Newsflash.. If it isn’t the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness, you’ll continue to carry that irritating permanent itch… I truly hope that those reading this have been seeking in the right direction… Take it from me.. That itch never goes away until you find the right balm…
