It Just Won't DIE!!!

Had an awesome revelation today. The Lord has been dealing greatly with future ministry moves that I am about to make. I need the assembly to bear with me. I have some great news to share. I have been dealing with young people for a long time. So many have come and gone. So many come back to give back in service. I love them all. Once upon a time I would be really bothered when folks chose to move on or “do something else”. I have had folks ask why we have been so successful with reaching the youth and young adults. I often gave simple answers like “keeping it real.” I have tried to be straight forward, firm and loving at the same time keeping it strictly ministry. I often have youth ministers and Pastors come to me telling me about the many strategies that they are using. I will have them mention certain Gospel rap songs that they play.. They look for me to give this “Wow-like” expression that I never give. I Hear of programs that they produce that they mirror the world in order to “ wisely reel them in”.. ( Don’t you love the fishing terms?) I have seen them kill ministries trying to be so innovative that the gospel is no longer present. I started to think on all of the young folks who we have been so blessed to come across. Those that got the real message and those who got caught up in a “feeling” . I can tell the ones who got it. You saw it in their lifestyles. The others we kept trying to paint the picture and kept praying that the light bulb would come on. Still praying for some. We have seen cycles of growth. Saw the need to start over at times. The hardest part was always starting a new work with a new group. I would question my ability to reach a newer generation of young folks with greater issues. Then I came upon a scripture that simply set my soul on fire today. This is for that ministry or church who folks tried to count out. The one thing that I learned through this revelation is God’s church will prevail. The ministry won’t die. Doesn’t matter who’s on board or not on board. This is what some preacher reading this today needs to know. Some minister who seems to be looking at their ministry struggling needs to know. The life of God’s church does not depend on us or people. It depends upon God. So many will criticize the ministry because ministries are convenient targets. Ministers are convenient targets. I told a guy one time that it didn’t matter if my young folks danced to Kirk Franklin or James Cleveland. It was God’s anointing on the ministry that made them special. Doesn’t matter if they sing Fred Hammond songs or acapella spirituals. It is dependent upon the Holy Spirit moving through them. I used no cultural influences. Plenty of folks have failed trying to be too clever. I recently told my young folks that we were going to do a service with no music or amplification. I wanted them to approach ministering as we have always done. With the intent on giving God our best sacrifice. One without blemish. Ok, back to sharing the great news… As I have said, the future of Gods Church does not depend on us, but God. That is something that should make some minster, Pastor, apostle, Bishop, you know who you are (I hope) shout aloud. The church will never fail. The church will never die. I’m talking about God’s Church! Let me drop the big one on you now and not keep you in suspense on why. Can I just do it with a scripture so that no one can argue with me? Thank you for granting me the permission.. Here it is.

Matthew 16… Jesus Says it.. Saying that, if you wanna debate, take it up with HIM.
Verse 18- And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it…

Yes, it doesn’t really matter who’s on board or against the work of the Lord.. The church will not die. The very gates of hell won’t prevail against it. So I will put it simply like this. I may not be around to see that church in 50 years but the church will be here and thriving! I didn’t say it… Jesus did!
