Let Us Pray!

Hey Family. I want to talk about being more effective in prayer. When seeking prayer partners, do you intentionally seek out true believers? You should. There is power in agreement. Remember 1 sends 1000 to flight, 2- 10,000. It is also very important to be in agreement in your spirit. You cannot pray effectively if you are distracted and focusing on the next words that are to come out of your mouth. Ever heard someone fumble through a prayer? Hard to stay with them. Isn’t it? I have sat through some prayers where a person was making a lot of noise but saying absolutely nothing. I sat through a 30 minute prayer one time and all the guy did was try to remember and call out all the names of God and HIS attributes and when he got stuck, he’d pause and say… “We need you Lord!” No power was in it at all. Listen, when the saints are on one accord and in agreement, God shows up and HIS power displayed is mind blowing. Through prayer I have seen, the HIV virus disappear in folks, cancer erased, folks wake up from comas, relationships restored…God did it! He heard the fervent prayers of the righteous.  The next thing I want to cover is you can’t pray effectively with a grudge. You can’t be beefing with your brother or sister and go through the motions, faking that you love them. Someone has to kill their pride. Why not you? Someone needs to sincerely apologize. The humble person takes responsibility and is a peacemaker. Mathew 5 tells us that there is a blessing in being the peacemaker.. You will see God. Stop letting small stuff kill relationships.. Small foxes… Bad attitudes and bitterness will keep your prayers from being effective. Do yourselves a favor and as you drop to your knees, drop the dispute.. A prayer that takes place after reconciliation is one with power… Now after saying all of that.. If you’ve taken it all in…. LET US PRAY!

Timothy 2:8 says “I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger, disputing and doubt”
